I'm all ears (1)

I'm all ears is a listening project consisting of a series of entries where I will suggest some listening practice for you to do at home.

I will propose three different texts for listening, you can do the three of them or just one, but remember that the more you practise the more you will learn!!

You will  normally have the script, but listen twice without reading the script, and only the third time you listen can you read while listening.

Whenever you do a listening practice I want you to fill in (complete) the following questionnaire:

Here go my first three suggestions, they are all about hobbies which is related to what you worked on unit 1:

1. Parkour

In this programme, 6 minute English, from the BBC the presenters, Dan and Kate look at the growing sports of parkour and free running.

You have a comprehension activity, some vocabulary and the script.

2. Beekeeping

When you are on the website, choose podcast 73 Buzz buzz!!

In this programme from Podcasts in English, the presenters, Jackie and Richard speak to a person who sells all the equipment necessary for beekeeping, and tell us some information about this unusual hobby.

You have the audio and a video.

3. Collecting football stickers

In this programme, 6 minute English, from the BBC the presenters, Kate and Rosie discuss collecting things and in particular the current craze for collecting World Cup football sticker.

You have a comprehension activity, some vocabulary and the script.
